Zach Hines winning time (29:37) ties him for the 16th best performance on the 10k course with Khalid Khannouchi who placed 2nd in the 1995 race. Khannouchi would later go on to establish the American record in the 2000 Chicago Marathon (2:07.01) and set a world record time (2:05.38) in the 2002 London Marathon.
With her 1st place finish Brielle Chabot (Wellesley, MA) joins fellow Eagle Alum Amy Lyman (2002) and former Boston College Asst. Track Coach Amy Mortimer (2006) representing The Heights on the winner’s podium.
Kent Lemme (Pittsfield, MA) improved upon his 2011 time (32:58) and moved into a 4th place tie in the Master Male category with a run of 32:45 good enough for an 8th place finish overall.
Getting better with age Charles Muse (Wilbraham, MA) moved up to 6th place (36:46) in the Senior Male Division improving upon his 2008 time of 37:32. Tim Van Orden (Bennington, VT) jumped into the Master Male top ten (9th place tie) with a 33:19 effort.
In the Senior Female category Cheryl Cunningham (West Simsbury, CT) 44:07 effort was good enough to place her in 6th place within the 50-59 category. She is joined by Elizabeth St. Clair (Williamstown, MA) at 10th place with a run of 44:50 over the 6.20 mile course.
Two Veteran Females established top ten performances within their division. Cynthia Johnson (Enfield, CT) and Monique Belliveau (Lee, MA) with times of 55:04 and 55:27 respectively are now the 8th and 9th best performances in the 60+ class.
Springfield resident Mark Hegarty established the 2nd best performance in the Boy’s High School division with a time of 33:09 placing him 10th overall in the race. Daniel Crowley (Ludlow, MA) also moved into the top ten within the Boy’s High School group with a 33:47 effort.
Michael Brouillette jumped into the Male Holyoke Resident top ten with a time of 33:12 good enough for 2nd place in the Paper City classification.
Not to be outdone Catie Laraway (Westfield, MA) and Anka Parzych (Niskayuna, NY) established top ten performances within their division with times of 39:58 and 41:21 good enough for 6th and 9th places respectively within the Girl’s High School category.
With a time of 35:20 Lauren Sara (Stratford, CT) easily claimed the title of Champion in the Irish American Female division. She is joined by Dawn Roberts (West Springfield, MA) at number seven in the category with a 41:09 run.
